There is an intimacy in jewelry to both the person wearing it, and the person making it.  Lauren Tickle was trained as a goldsmith at Reinstein Ross but is also an internationally recognized Art Jeweler.  While these two sides of the jewelry discipline are very different, there are basic principles that remain the same:  process, meticulousness, and craftsmanship.  In a world where technology and machines continue to cut the human hand out of production, Lauren wanted to create a production line that was easy to wear and accessible but still made by hand in her studio in New Orleans, LA.  This is not a simple task when you have mass-produced jewelry that can be acquired at every turn.   Labor and the skills acquired through traditional jewelry techniques are valued and carefully employed with each piece in the Vanessa Lynn line.  

At Vanessa-Lynn, design is in the details; there is always a handcrafted element.  These elements make the jewelry interesting and unique. When a client buys a piece, they are buying something that was directly conceived of and hand-crafted by the artist- from her hands to yours- a one of a kind piece, which can be enjoyed for years to come.
